Irfan Khan goes to Hollywood

... Irfan Khan plays the lead opposite an American actress in Road To Ladakh , a film that combines

the thriller and road movie genres.  The film, being produced by Oscar-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss

and his movie partner Judith James; and writer / director Ashvin Kumar’s Alipur Films, UK is expected

to start shooting in Ladakh next year. Khan's more significant films, The Warrior (2001) and the recent

Maqbool have travelled to many film festivals...

Actor Richard Dreyfuss production outfit Dreyfuss/James Prods. has pacted with Indian
born writer-director Ashvin Kumar to turn his short film Road To Ladakh into a feature film.
Judith James of Dreyfuss/James Prods, who discovered the film at the Cannes Film Festival
this year, will now co-produce the film with Ashvin Kumar...

Rasa Pictures today changed its name to Alipur Films - Ashvin Kumar, director, said “Alipur is a

locality in Calcutta - its where I was born and I call it home, besides, when Rasa Pictures was named,

the ownership and focus of the company were different” Alipur Films isa company registered in the UK,

established in April 2001.
